Sphinxes

During the stress of quarantine, what is an artist to do? Start new sculpture, of course.
Here's Gerti in her studio with a preview of two almost-finished clay models of Sphinxes, a new subject and a new approach. She'll soon be allowed to travel to the bronze foundry to cast them at Bronsgieterij Custers in Grathem, Limburg. This is the first of two video interviews made last week by Drs. Karin van der Beek.
