Victory IV: Timeless Battles I

Giant pieces of handmade rice-paper called me to the Battle of the Giants against the Gods and so that’s what I painted. I imagined fragments of colored marbles from Pergamon, and prowling leopards among the fighters, gods and horses, and sad defeated giants. Taking an unusual vertical view, a Greek bronze and a rare bird in blue above, which find an echo in antique faiënce seals below.
