Working in her Tuscan studio, next door to a Nature Reserve, the artist used the time of tight Italian lockdowns to re-explore and to experiment with stunning new pigments. From summer 2020 to spring 2021 Bierenbroodspot was isolated in her studio – a blessing in disguise. Among the cypresses and olive trees, she created an astonishing series of paintings and drawings, among which this amazing Favorites of Creation.
