Great Wall of Bierenbroodspot
In the heart of Amsterdam, we proudly present the Great Wall of Bierenbroodspot. As the scaffolding comes down, the artist makes her finishing touches. Now, we see for the first time the whole great wall, the birds and the foxes, lizards and butterflies, and even a caterpillar eating a pear.
What our city should be like
In the center of it all, sitting on a pole with the 3-X crest of Amsterdam, is the urban tomcat, Abatutu, guide to the wildlife of the city. Neither slashing rain nor wind nor storm stopped Bierenbroodspot from climbing the scaffolding, day after day, to paint this fairy tale of what our city should be like. And now, right behind the Rijksmuseum, it has come true.
